Message from Chairwoman of the Board

As Chairwoman of the Board of Supervisors, I am honored to serve our community and to work collaboratively with my fellow board members in advancing a strong, vibrant, and sustainable future for all residents. Together, we remain committed to responsible governance, thoughtful economic development, public safety, and improving the overall quality of life throughout our county.

 

Over the past year, the Board has made meaningful progress on key priorities, including infrastructure enhancements, public safety efforts, and community development initiatives. We have listened carefully to the voices of our residents and worked diligently to address both longstanding concerns and emerging challenges.

 

As we look ahead, we will continue to prioritize fiscal responsibility and efficient service delivery. Equally important is our commitment to fostering strong partnerships between local government and the communities we serve. By allocating resources wisely and equitably, we strive to meet the diverse needs

of all residents and ensure that our county continues to move forward with purpose and unity.

 

Note: When Peggy Price was selected as Chairwoman, it was noted as the first time in 36 years since the last woman served as chair. She acknowledged former Supervisors Val Blume and Jeannie Vogel for “paving the way” for women in county government.

Mission Statement

To provide consistent courteous and professional service to the County Board of Supervisors, County Departments and members of the community; provide access to county records, documents and information in the most efficient and friendly manner.

Miscellaneous Information regarding the Board of Supervisors Meetings:

  • BoS Meeting convenes at 8:30 a.m. Special Presentations and Closed Session
  • BoS Meeting reconvenes at 1:00 p.m. Public Comment, Action Calendar
  • Public Hearings are held at 2:00 p.m. unless stated otherwise.

Supporting documentation for agenda items is available for public review in the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors located at 940 W. Main Street, Suite 209, El Centro, Ca. 92243 during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The office is closed from 12:00 to 1:00 PM.
